Wahrscheinlich wäre Patrick McGoohan auch heute noch eine äußerst private persönlichkeit. Andererseits, wie wir alle und mit blick auf unterschiedliche sozio-ökonomische und technologische umstände, wäre er wiederrum nicht dasselbe individuum, oder doch?
Der 50. jahrestag der britischen erstausstrahlung von NUMMER 6 am 29. September 1967, die nicht überall zeitgleich im königreich stattfand, gab den anlass für einen beitrag, der sich mit der frage beschäftigt, ob Patrick McGoohan die serie NUMMER 6, oder ein ähnliches format, so konzipieren würde wie damals, hätte er sie unserer gegenwart zu produzieren.

Die frage, was das für das konzept bedeuten würde, bleibt schwer zu beantworten.

STILL THE PRISONER?

Most likely Patrick McGoohan would still be a very private personality. On the other hand, like we all and with regard to divers socio-economic and technological circumstances, he wouldn't be the same idividual would he.
The 50th anniversary of the first British TV screening of THE PRISONER on September 29th, 1967, albeit not everywhere in the United Kingdom, was the incentive for an article on the question whether Patrick McGoohan would do the series the way he had conceived it in the old days if he was to do it in our contemporary present.

The answer to the question, however, what this would mean to the concept remains hard to deliver.
