Ron Grainer was the composer of Germany's very first and very popular popmusic TV programme in the mid 60s, BEAT CLUB. "A Touch of Velvet" was used as the title theme.
It happened that shortly after THE PRISONER was first broadcast in Germany
another series, nowadays to be labeled "mystery", came up on the screens,
